Wonderful writing

Kia ora, lately in Te Ngahere we have been doing some Wonderful Writing.

We have been planning  a rocket launching for our narrative writing. We are doing the writing for the wonder project-rocket challenge.  My writing is about a family and a zombie apocalypse. The apocalypse is happening and they are the richest people in New Zealand, so the prime minister asks if they would like to come to outer space while the outbreak is happening  and when they come back down it is all normal! I found it easy to come up with ideas, but it was hard to not write about one whole story sentence.

I really enjoyed doing this type of writing again.

Te Reo.

Kia ora in Te Ngahere we have been learning to read in Te reo maori and pronounce the words properly.

Since most of us didn’t know how to pronounce the words we sounded them out or Whaea Chrissy told us how to say them.This is the story we have been reading. We cut some photos and the meaning for them so we could play memory and different games.

I liked doing this activity because my maori pronunciation was not that good now I feel like I am more confident at maori language.
