Kea Airlines

Kia Ora in Te Ngahere today we did S.L.J(Summer learning Journey) day 3 where we had to buy our airline tickets, BUT first we had to create a logo. So As soon as I was allowed on I went straight to looking for native N.Z birds. first I was going to do a Kiwi with a parachute but then i remembered that A Kiwi can’t fly and it would look like it was going to crash with the parachute! so I changed to Kea Airline. I thought it would be an amazing idea because nobody else would do a kea, so I got to work. 

After I finished my design It was just a kea standing still so I did some changing, and it looked like it was flying. 

 One day in the future hopefully there is a airline called ‘Kea Airlines’

Cold Canada OR is It?

Kia Ora In Te Ngahere we have been doing this thing called S.L.J (Summer Learning Journey).

We had to pick some place out of these Virtual Holidays to explore Canada, Mexico, Chile, England, Germany, South Africa, Qatar, Japan, Malaysia, and Australia. 

I picked Canada. In the winter at  around 6:00 Pm at night it gets to about 2*C and at midnight night it gets to about-35 °C !  And in the Summer it gets up to 35*C! Wow that's an amazing fact.

Something interesting is that they speak french As-Well As English! And the population Is  37,742,154! Wow that's 32,919,921 more than N.Z!! Their Favourite Sport is Ice Hockey, lacrosse, gridiron football, soccer, basketball, curling and baseball, with ice hockey and lacrosse being the official winter and summer sports. 

I Can’t Wait till i’m Older to go to Canada (maybe!) Because my dad has told me all about the hunting

Kia ora the year 7 & 8’s went to tech at Morewa again. First we had to line up and hop on the bus. Once we got there we had to introduce ourselves to a new teacher that we had for the day. After we introduced ourselves we started to make  “Pewter Jewellery”. Pewter is a type of metal. We had to make a shape that was something important from where we were from. I decided to make a deer because my Dad goes hunting sometimes.

It was pretty difficult to draw and then, I had to cut it out with a skill saw. Next Week we will try to put the pewter into our shape’s.
